AMRC Releases Telework “Statement of Intent”

In parallel to this declaration of intent, the AMRC took part in the work of the CGEM Social Commission which is currently examining a proposal for a legal framework for teleworking intended to be shared with the Ministry of Labor and the social partners.

The Moroccan Association for Customer Relations (AMRC) displays its determination to introduce “telework” as a working method for employees in the sector.

This determination was translated into a “declaration of intention”, which defines the 12 commitments on which the signatory members will have to rely to implement telework in the best conditions.

The AMRC’s declaration of intent provides a set of guidelines aimed at making telework accessible to employees while fully respecting the values of the AMRC. In fact, in the absence of a specific legal framework regulating telework in Morocco, the AMRC has introduced a set of practical provisions allowing its members to continue telework beyond the Covid-19 crisis.

“This declaration provides guidance on good practices in teleworking, it is largely inspired by the values of ethics and social responsibility of the AMRC aimed at accessibility to employment, diversity, decentralization of regions, the employability of women and the inclusion of people with disabilities, ”said the AMRC in a press release.

In addition to this declaration of intent, the AMRC took part in the work of the CGEM Social Commission, which is currently examining a proposal for a legal framework for teleworking, intended to be shared with the Ministry of Labor and the social partners. and which could be adapted from the current labor code.

“Note that the customer relations sector, which employs more than 80,000 people, has quickly adapted to the Covid-19 crisis by putting more than 40,000 employees in telework, and who are still working,” says the same source.
