Amok warning at Konrad-Adenauer-School? Police and school cannot confirm rumors – Pforzheim

Pforzheim. The rumor spread like wildfire on Tuesday evening via the Whatsapp messenger service: A rampage is said to be planned for this Wednesday at the Konrad Adenauer School in Pforzheim and the facility will remain closed for this reason. When asked, the police and school announced: It is apparently just a rumor.

“No, that’s not the case. We turned the police on anyway,” headmaster Hans-Joachim Zahnlecker told PZ-news in the morning. The rumor is said to have come from the teachers’ circle, but that has not yet been checked, Zahnlecker continued. Numerous students and parents had already inquired and called the school with concern that morning, and PZ-news also received some inquiries via social media. Children were also canceled for that day, for which the headmaster “of course understands”. But the lessons take place normally.

When asked, the police also said that previous investigations had not revealed that a killing spree or something similar was planned for this Wednesday. “It has not been confirmed that a person seriously wants to start there or that there is even someone in the building,” said spokesman Michael Schwarz. According to him, the rumor had previously spread through various messenger groups at the educational institution. Nevertheless, the police were present this morning in front of the educational facility on Kaulbachstrasse to ensure security.

At this point, PZ-news will keep you up to date on further developments.
