After that, he insisted that, from Tehran’s point of view, the issue “is settled” and that it will respond “immediately” to a possible Israeli counterresponse.

Borrell, for his part, has shown his satisfaction at the end of the Iranian operation, and has reiterated his condemnation of the attack against the Damascus Consulate.

Amirabdolahian has also held calls with India’s Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Turkey’s Hakan Fidan, Egypt’s Samé Shukri and Syria’s Faisal al Mikdad, all of whom have expressed support for the Iranian response. within the framework of “legitimate defense.”
