Initiator Ummah Party, Amien Rais dismiss the notion that mention Presien Joko Widodo as a very good person but damaged by those around him.
This statement was made in response to the opinion of some people who thought that Jokowi was actually a good leader but had bad influence from those around him. According to Amien, this assumption is absurd.
“I do not agree (the presumption) people say actually president it’s very-very good man, only surrounding people that’s what damaged him, “said Amin through his YouTube channel on Sunday (14/3).
Because, according to Amien, this can be proved very easily in a sociology thesis where a person will attract someone who is similar to himself.
“This is refuted by a very simple sociological thesis, that person must be kind of interesting,” he said.
He also criticized Jokowi’s response to human rights violations. Although it was not specifically stated which human rights violations were meant. Whereas at the beginning of Jokowi’s appearance, according to Amien, he appeared as a figure who seemed indecisive.
“I saw this Pak Jokowi at first, it seems you know, aren’t you humble … Then it also looks like clamps. But (how come) so heartbroken? Seeing the various human rights violations is easy, “said Amien again.
Remember not to be arrogant
Thus, the former chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) also reminded leaders who have power not to become obscure.
“So don’t be arrogant, I remind you again and again and again, “he said.
This reminder, according to Amien, was solely because he did not want this country to be ruined. Because, according to Amien, there is a formula for power, when the more wrongdoing, the faster it will collapse.
Because, according to him, power is not eternal, but it is a gift from Allah SWT. So that, at any time, it can be revoked suddenly.
“I have smelled this (power) not for long (anymore), if not, quickly turn around,” he said.

Amien also reminded leaders to listen to their conscience.
“Before going to sleep, don’t trust the witch doctor, don’t trust the surroundings, but listen to your conscience. One can deceive anyone, but one cannot deceive his heart.”
He also compared the power that was won by the communist socialist country, namely the Soviet Union. He called this power that was not eternal, because even if the defense and power were considered strong, it could potentially collapse.
In addition, he said that the situation in Indonesia was indeed increasingly worrying. However, he admitted that he was optimistic that the changes would still exist by the power of Allah SWT.
