The Scream or Charlie’s Angels star has decided to ignore the Hollywood strike and is airing the first episode of his talk show since writers and actors began protesting in the US. The trade union organization and colleagues accuse the strike of a lack of solidarity, writes the AP agency.
“The National Book Awards celebrate the power of literature and the incalculable contribution of authors to our culture,” the foundation that awards the book awards announced on Wednesday. “Due to the fact that Drew Barrymore will continue to broadcast her talk show, we have decided to cancel her invitation. Forty-eight-year-old Drew Barrymore announced a few days ago that next week she will start broadcasting another season of her entertainment program called The Drew Barrymore Show on CBS, in which she interviews important personalities and celebrities.
Personally, she did not violate the rules of the Hollywood unions regarding moderation, since the show is broadcast during the day and thus falls under a different union than the one whose members are on strike.
