América de Cali Liga BetPlay 2022 will start preseason this Monday with medical exams | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

América de Cali summoned all its professional staff to carry out the medical examinations for the 2022 season on Monday, January 3.

Given the sanction already known in the case of Rafael Carrascal, the scarlet institution will only be able to register players in the first half of the year, so its fans hope that those linked will be names that can give their best to perform in competitions locals and the South American Cup.

Before the end of the year, the imminent arrival of midfielder Juan Camilo Portilla was known, who, according to what the president of Alianza Petrolera, Carlos Orlando Ferreira told FUTBOLRED, will do so on a loan with a purchase option.

Although the club has not yet made it official until the medical examinations are carried out, it was known that it will be a year with the possibility of being acquired by the Valle del Cauca club. Portilla is from Cali and therefore is in the city.

The other two players who will be added to the squad are full-back Eber Moreno, who was in Cortuluá, and winger Marino Hinestroza -who was on loan to Palmeiras from Brazil-, both youth players.

Likewise, midfielder Luis Sánchez and winger David Lemos, who did little to act last season, have already recovered from delicate injuries.

Coach Juan Carlos Osorio also intends to have a creative midfielder, a winger and a forward, positions that have not been easy to fill in the local environment, so it is not ruled out that they may arrive from abroad.

The casualties that the scarlet cast will have for now to start the I-2022 League are the right back Cristian Arrieta due to a torn meniscus and collateral ligament in his right knee (from 12 to 14 weeks), the same as that of midfielder Luis Alejandro Paz, after a joint cleaning of the right ankle (4 to 6 weeks).

Among those who left are Héctor Quiñones, Jeison Lucumí and Joao Rodríguez, while Kevin Andrade and Mauricio Gómez are looking for a team. Regarding Larry Angulo there is also no clarity about its continuity, since America must make use of the purchase option and the economic part is not the best.
