AMD will introduce Matisse Refresh on June 16 under the names Ryzen 9 3900XT, 3800XT and 3600XT

Just yesterday we reported that AMD can launch new Ryzen processors for enthusiasts. And now the resource WCCFTech has published a confirmation, but with some clarification.

According to these data, AMD is really going to launch the updated Matisse Refresh processors with new stepping. They will expand the existing Ryzen 3000 family (Matisse) with new models. But yesterday’s story was only partially true. Yes, the Ryzen 3000 Refresh is really getting ready, but the names that were announced earlier are not accurate.

According to rumors, the manufacturer will release Ryzen 3000 processors with the new suffix XT. Resource WCCFTech published a proof that cites the new names Ryzen 9 3900XT, 3800XT and 3600XT, typed in AMD’s proprietary font. Interestingly, the suffix mentioned is usually associated with Radeon graphics, not desktop processors.

It is not yet clear whether the new processor options in the XT series are intended to replace existing X-series models of the same name or whether new solutions will act as an alternative. Fresh processors will most likely have the same number of cores and other processing units as their existing Ryzen brothers, but AMD will provide an increase in operating clock speeds.

AMD is expected to unveil the Ryzen 3000XT series on June 16, with new retail stores currently scheduled for July 7th.
