AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT Tantang RTX 3060

AMD released a new graphics card that will be a challenger RTX 3060 from Nvidia, namely Radeon RX 6600 XT.

Despite being called a challenger, the RX 6600 XT is sold at a higher price, which is USD 379, more expensive than the RTX 3060 which costs USD 329. Of course this is the price recommended by the manufacturer. In the market it seems almost impossible to find a graphics card at such a low price.

With a higher price, AMD believes that the RX 6600 XT will be faster than the RTX 3060. They claim that esports gamers will prefer the RX 6600 XT over graphics cards from the ‘green’ camp, because they will not use the ray tracing technology that Nvidia is a mainstay of.

In addition, AMD has positioned this graphics card to be used to play at 1080p resolution. That is the resolution commonly used by esports gamers, who are usually more concerned with frame rate than screen resolution.

AMD claims the RX 6600 XT can produce a frame rate of 125 fps in modern AAA games.

“1080p has long been the most popular resolution for PC gaming, and by 2020 more than two-thirds of gaming monitors on the market use this resolution,” said Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager, Graphics Business Unit, AMD, in a statement. received by detikINET, Friday (30/7/2021).

“The Radeon RX 6600 XT raises the bar for gaming with 1080p resolution. It is specifically designed to provide the best 1080p gaming experience for all gamers, offering great performance and advanced features to bring complex visual beauty to life and real,” he added.

The RX 6600 XT has 32 RDNA 2 Compute Units, 32MB cache, 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, and a clock speed of 2,359 MHz, or the highest clock speed of the RDNA 2 graphics card line.

The AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card is expected to be available from AMD partners including ASRock, Asus, Biostar, Gigabyte, MSI, PowerColor, Sapphire, XFX and Yeston at global retailers starting August 11, 2021.
