AMD has received a license, can work with Huawei

With all the limitations to which Huawei has been subjected, the solution to continue with its technology business is far from defined.

From the East comes information that tastes like a sigh of relief, including the news that AMD he would have received a valid license to continue working with the troubled Chinese company.

TSMC, Samsung and SK Hynix are just some of the companies with which Huawei has reduced its business relationships to the bone, for obvious reasons of force majeure. But now there may be a lifeline on the horizon called AMD.

Just yesterday, the vice president of the well-known chipmaker – who has always been active in the “traditional notebook” market and a direct competitor of Intel – confirmed that it was able to obtain a license to do business with the Chinese Major. The reason would be that AMD, otherwise, would significantly decrease the volume of business. Obviously the same thing would also apply to other companies and we do not understand why AMD can and others have received a negative response.

In China, customers are very fond of Huawei, so much so that in this difficult period they are choosing to buy their products more frequently. The market has understood that smartphones will soon have to be sipped and current models are going up in price.

The components for making smartphones, at this rate, will end in mid-2021, unless interventions related to the removing templates which are already slated for release in 2021.
