Amazon disgust: children’s sex dolls on offer again!

Time and again, forces in the fight against child pornography take action against dirty film providers and website operators. But with Amazon’s child sex dolls they seem to be powerless.

Already in 2017 there was a big wave of horror when various such models appeared. The online retailer only became active when requests were received from various media and deleted the offers.

But now the whole thing seems to be repeating itself!

The author Jasmin Schreiber discovered some children’s sex dolls in the online mail order business and posted screenshots on Twitter. “Hey @AmazonHelp, on your website you can – I can hardly write it out, ey – order children’s dolls,” she writes.

And further: “I’ll save us the close-ups. When exactly do you want to ban it? How often do you have to send it to you, hm? Maybe it will work out publicly.”

But Amazon did not respond to the posting.

The new request, on the other hand, was used by the Futurezone technology portal to once again point out the problem to Amazon. The company finally reacted to this.

“Amazon resellers are independent companies and must adhere to our terms and conditions of sale when they sell in our store,” a spokeswoman for the shipping giant told Futurezone. “If we become aware of a violation, we take appropriate measures that may include closing the account. The products in question are no longer available.”

Now the named sex dolls have been removed from the range. But Futurezone still discovered retailers on Amazon. There are other children’s sex dolls on offer (100 to 2500 euros).

These often have a very young appearance and are only 55 to 150 centimeters tall. Sometimes it’s just the legs and the children’s torso is completely missing.

In other cases, advertising is carried out with a clear child size and a corresponding weight. Will then be sent quickly and discreetly.

Many users of the short message service Twitter are upset that it is legal to own such dolls.

“We have not only a problem with @AmazonNewsDE here, but obviously a serious legal loophole,” summarizes User Ah! Nico together. A screenshot was added to the tweet, citing the legal situation in Austria. Accordingly, the sale of children’s sex dolls is prohibited. Buying and owning is allowed. Just like in Germany.

Politician Andreas Schieder (50, SPÖ) now wants to campaign in the European Parliament for a ban: “Disgusting. A Europe-wide sales ban must come here,” he wrote Twitter, “I am committed to ensuring that the agenda in the relevant committee in the EU Parliament comes up, providers like Amazon have to be held responsible. Work is ongoing.”

Otherwise, you can read affirmative comments such as “That’s horrible!”, “Sick world” or “You want a hacker who researches the customers so that they can then send them to therapy before the worst happens”.

When the sale on Amazon, for example through filters, is stopped, remains unclear. Apparently the weather has to be tweeted violently for the offer to thin out.
