Amanda Tenfjord high on the odds lists in the Eurovision semi-final

Norway has not just one, but two artists in Tuesday’s Eurovision semi-final. Amanda Tenfjord performs for Greece.

The 25-year-old performs the song «Die Together», which she has written together with Bjørn Helge Gammelsæter.

– I take it easy, try not to wear out my voice and drink lots of water. Then I try to go through the song and the movements, the artist told NTB during the official Eurovision opening on Sunday night.

Born in Norway, raised in Greece

The artist – whose full name is Amanda Klara Georgiadis Tenfjord – has a Norwegian mother and a Greek father. She is from Tenfjord, grew up in the Greek city of Ioannina and eventually moved to Norway again.

Thus, Norway actually has two artists in Tuesday’s semifinal. Tenfjord does not think much about this.

– The only difference is that I cheer a lot on Norway. We are two. Otherwise, I do not think much about it, she says.

Both Subwoolfer, who performs the song “Give That Wolf A Banana”, and Amanda Tenfjord are among the countries that the game companies reckon will almost certainly move on from the first semifinal.

Girlfriend and family

In Turin, Tenfjord has many of its closest as supporters.

– Mom, Dad and my brother are coming. And then my boyfriend came on Saturday. And then I have one from my record company in Norway here. Besides, I have the Greek delegation, but it’s nice to have family and such too, she says.

The top ten in the first semifinal on Tuesday advance to Saturday’s final. along with another ten countries from the second semifinal on Thursday. In addition, the big five – Italy, Spain, Great Britain, Germany and France – go straight to the final.
