Allergies to semen yourself, this is how doctors handle it

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Allergy food, dust mites, pollen are common. However, researchers found there were men who were allergy in his own semen.

It is not new if women are allergic to their partner’s semen even though the amount is not large. Even less often, men are allergic to their own semen as quoted by Live Science, Sunday (1/11/2020).

Dutch researchers reported two cases of deep postorgasmic disease syndrome Journal of Sexual Medicine January issue. In both cases, the men developed allergic symptoms around their eyes and nose, and a temporary flu-like illness within seconds, minutes or hours after sex, masturbation or spontaneous ejaculation.

The skin prick test confirmed that they were indeed allergic to their own semen.

Their allergy is eventually treated with hyposensitization therapy, in which a person is injected with a small amount of the allergen, their own semen. These injections are done over time, in gradually increasing doses. The researchers reported that the men showed significant improvement in their symptoms after three years of treatment.
