Vikings: Valhalla is a new spin-off series of the Vikings, signing History Channels. Netflix Original happens in the world at some point in 2021 and here is a current summary of everything we know about Season 1 Vikings: Valhalla.
Vikings: Valhalla Netflix is a historical drama to come Original created by Michael Hirst and a spinoff of the popular History Channel series, Vikings. The series will be produced by MGM Productions as its predecessor.
Jeb Stuart is on board to write who is best known for his work on films such as The Fugitive, 1993, Die Hard in 1988, and currently also working on The Liberator for Netflix.
What is the plot of Vikings: Valhalla?
More than 100 years after the events of VikingsThe end of the Viking era is approaching more and more as the Kingdom of England stands opposite its Scandinavian raiders. After the death of King Edward the Confessor, three lords claim the English throne, forever changing the future of England.
Which historical characters can we expect to see Vikings: Valhalla?
It has already been confirmed that we will see the following historical characters in action: Leif Erikson Freydis Harald Hardrada and William the Conqueror.
Who is Leif Erikson?
One of the most famous Vikings at the time, Leif Erikson was a Nordic explorer born in Iceland. It was recognized by historians as the first European to set foot on the North American continent, hundreds of years before Columbus.

Who is Freydís Eiríksdóttir
The sister of the Nordic explorer Leif Erikson. Fierce and courageous FREYDIS took a boat men to reap the benefits of Vinland and found his own colony. After the conflict with an opposing group of settlers, this leads to a massacre that made the famous warrior in the saga of Greenland.

Harald Hardrada
King of Norway from 1046 to 1066, Harold Hardrada led an invasion force against the Kingdom of England during a power struggle for the throne. Upon landing in England, he was finally fought against the defense force of King Harold Godwinson at the Battle of Stamford Bridge, and subsequently lose the fight dying during the battle.

The descendant of Rollo, William the Conqueror claimed the English throne after the death of King Edward the Confessor. At the Battle of Hastings, William was victorious in his conquest becoming the first king of the house of Normandy. William the conqueror of England is widely recognized as the end of the Viking Age and the beginning of the age of the German iron in Britain.

Has the cast of Vikings: Valhalla been announced?
At the time of this writing, no member of the cast has been confirmed for the spinoff.

All living characters at the end of Vikings will be dead at the start of Vikings: Valhalla. The only way for the characters to Vikings could return is through flashbacks.
A character who could be subject to this Rollo is because it is the ancestor of William the Conqueror.

Will Vikings: Valhalla be historically accurate?
Historical dramas still play quickly and freely with historical accuracy, and we expect the same of Vikings: Valhalla. We can expect to see many historical events occur, such as the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the Battle of Hastings.
Many history buffs may challenge some of the historical inaccuracies that we expect to see. Fortunately, history often plays to have a lot more drama than any other work of fiction, especially regarding the English throne.
What is the production status Vikings: Valhalla?

Early wrench was thrown into the works after two of the producers of the series, Morgan O’Sullivan and James Flynn, have appeared before the High Court after charges were brought against them.
The German film company W2 Filmproduktion Vertriebs GmbH said that O’Sullivan and Flynn had embezzled 40 million euros of funds Octagon Films Ltd, a production company in which they all share. The court case will continue in January 2020.
Production on Vikings: Valhalla It was originally planned to start in April 2020, but the work stopped because of the pandemic Covid-19. Now, however, things have finally started to accelerate. We learned that Production is currently scheduled to begin in August (August 2020) and pre-production has already resumed from July 2020.
In addition, we learned that the extras are currently selected for filming. Unfortunately, we have no information on the duration of production, but with all the precautions to Covid-19 in place, resulting in a more sensitive schedule, it may take more time than usual.
Where will be Vikings: Valhalla to be filmed?
As mentioned above, the pre-production has already taken place and is a very dear and familiar place for fans of Vikings Studios Ashford, Wicklow, Ireland. This is where most of the original Vikings series was filmed for many years. To add to that, back in 2019, after filming the last season of Vikings was over, Ashford Studios received approval for an expansion of 90 million euros, to build their five new studios and a media space. This is likely to reflect the quality of production Vikings: Valhalla.
The main production center is the same for ValhallaWe can expect to see many familiar Irish external websites just nearby. We can also expect that several members of the same team working on the Vikings spin off.
How many episodes Vikings: Valhalla air?
It was confirmed that 24 episodes Vikings: Valhalla have been ordered. That’s a lot of episodes for Netflix to commit to consider that the typical amount is between eight and thirteen.
With the Vikings already on a calendar that divides into two seasons, it is expected that the first season of Vikings Valhalla do the same. This means that there would be twelve episodes Vikings: Valhalla season 1.
What is the release date for Netflix Vikings: Valhalla?
With production starting soon and continuing probably until next year and several months of post-production, T4 2021 would be a decent estimate. Otherwise it could be T1 2022 if things are pushed more.
Will Vikings come to Netflix?
contrary to Lucifer and Designated survivor, Vikings: Valhalla is not a continuation of Vikings and is rather a spin-off. This is important because previously, Netflix US finally resumed canceled all network programming seasons.
Vikings is currently available on Hulu and Amazon in the United States, but the agreement to Vikings: Valhalla is not likely to include Netflix receiving six seasons Vikings. This does not mean that Netflix will not continue Vikings when the license is in place at Hulu and Amazon.
