Mobile phones and several other types of consumer electronics in the EU will have the same type of charging equipment of the type USB-C from 2024. Thus, the objections from Apple are rejected.

This will be the result of an agreement between the European Parliament and the 27 member states. USB-C is the same type of charger that is currently used for Android phones, and will now be common from the end of 2024.
According to the European Parliament’s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection, the agreement applies to mobile phones, tablets, tablets, digital cameras and several other types of electronics.
In addition, common fast charging technology will be provided, the committee writes Twitter.
Apple has been particularly strong opponents of a common charging standard. They have stated that it will stop innovation and contribute to littering.
