Under the State of Play August 2020 was introduced Aeon Must Die, a title that will appear on various platforms and that has a very attractive presentation and developed by an independent studio.
The game certainly attracted attention for its style, but so far. One would think that, until we see another advance, we would talk about Aeon Must Die again, however, a Tweet revealed information that is generating a lot of conversation because if true, we would be seeing the breach of the law on several levels.
The twet presented by the account of twitter colibrono says that all developers of Aeon Must Die They resigned this week for overwork and underpayment, plus the advance was made by artists without a contract.
In order to reach as many people as possible, the tweet included Jason Schrerier, best known for revealing multiple cases of abuse in the video game industry.
In addition, the tweet leads to a link to a Dropbox public folder where it is possible to find everything from written statements to evidence that pirated software was used to develop the game.

Unaccepted resignations, unsigned statements and a lot of drama behind Aeon Must Die
It is worth seeing the statements written in the different documents that are in that folder of Dropbox. For example, in the letter to the publisher, workers point to several points:
- Complete betrayal of the ideals and business culture established at the beginning of the project.
- Exploitation of love for the project with sowing fear for the cancellation of the project.
- Not being able to establish a safe space for any positive social beliefs that do not comply with management’s opinions.
Where we look at it, the situation is really worrying because those involved have nowhere to turn, and we speak from 3D designers to the composers of the music of Aeon Must Die. It is certainly a worrying situation.
The main culprit? It all boils down to Yaroslav ‘Yarl’ Lyssenko and his company Limestone Games who always treated the developers of Aeon Must Die like cheap labor.
You have to be aware of everything that will happen with Aeon Must Die It could well be canceled or, failing that, be rescued by another company that will pay its workers.
