The top list of the fastest smartphones has been updated, here is the new order

The synthetic tests still do not necessarily reflect the speed of a given smartphone in everyday life, but the devices that are able to produce the fastest operation are most often at the top of the benchmark charts. The AnTuTu logged in with his summary for the past month, which included the 10 fastest flagships, and a separate top list for the upper and mid-range models as well.

The most powerful top models

The previous balance of power has been slightly changed by the arrival of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is an improved version of the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The update was necessary because many people complained about heating and performance related problems with the latter construction. The first devices with the new processor debuted in July and immediately conquered AnTuTu’s list of high-end smartphones. The first place is equipped with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro which rolled over 1.1 million points.

The device intended for gamers is followed by a phone with a more traditional design, but also of the Asus brand, the Zenfone 9, which offers a worthy alternative for lovers of more compact high-end mobiles. The bronze medal goes to another gamer smartphone, the Red Magic 7 however, the original Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset still serves under its cover. In the case of the Nubia device, heating should not be a problem, as it is also equipped with active cooling.

In the rest of the list, several Xiaomi phones appear, such as the previous champion, the Black Shark 5 Pro, as well as the 12 Pro, the POCO F4 GT, and the Redmi K50 Gaming. In addition to them, two more Vivo and one Motorola device entered the TOP 10.

High-end top list

The second list includes phones that aren’t quite flagships, but aren’t far behind, powered by beefy high-end hardware. This is led by two smartphones equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset, one is the OnePlus 10R and the other is the Oppo Reno 8 Pro 5G, followed mainly by devices equipped with the Snapdragon 870 chip. As you can see, the Max variant has a slight advantage in the case of Dimensity 8100 tiles.

Mid-range top list

The mid-range field can’t really be called diverse either, mostly smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 778G and 780G chipsets were among the top 10, only the models equipped with the Dimensity 920 chip bring some level to the monotony seen here. The results clearly indicate that these three chips now offer the most in the affordable segment.

The AnTuTu aggregates are never made on the basis of individual scores, but on the basis of the results of mobile phones on which the benchmark application has been run at least a thousand times. The combination of memory and storage space written next to the name of the smartphone in the ranking represents the most powerful combination available on the market, but this does not mean that all the measurement results were obtained on such a package. The August leaderboard will probably differ from the one shown here, as there will be more and more phones equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, but we are also excited to see which models in the lower price categories will be the potential new winners.
