With the start of the new year, some of the measures taken to reduce the impact of the
fuel crisis they have been discontinued, but new ones have emerged. As of February 2023, the long-distance buses that are part of the State network will go from having a 50% bonus to being completely free for those recurring trips, as is the case with trains.
Commuter or Medium Distance.
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (Mitma) created a
free multi-trip ticket to be used at each of the origins and destinations of all the regular road transport public service concessions that can be used throughout the year 2023. As with the free Renfe pass, this multi-trip ticket is intended for regular travelers , as stated in Royal Decree-Law 20/2022 of December 27.
The rise in fuel prices has had a great impact on the lives of citizens who use the car every day to get to their workplace. With this type of subscription, the Government seeks to increase the use of public transport and reduce the polluting effect of private vehicles. For this reason, free multi-trip tickets have also been created for bus routes.

– Between May 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023.
