I consider them a sign of patriarchy and female appropriation. For as long as I can remember, it has annoyed me that women give up their last name after marriage and take a different one. I agreed to combine the names automatically so as not to offend my husband’s family. And that’s how I became Resich-Modlińska,” she explained in an interview with Michał Misiorek in Plejada. Journalist she divorced Stanisław Modliński. She is now married to a businessman Krzysztof Jordan. So there was no reason to stay with a double name.
