Spokesperson Irma Galama of the municipality of Tilburg also saw it happen. “We have continuously called for keeping a distance. That always helped, so we had to repeat that. It is still difficult for everyone to keep that up. Before you know it, someone is walking through your aura again.”
By bringing flowers, Ali B and the mayor wanted to draw attention to loneliness among the elderly during this corona crisis. The action was also intended to promote the flower sector, which is now under pressure.
