Alexei Yashin included in the IIHF Hall of Fame

The International Hockey Federation (IIHF) included Russian hockey player Alexei Yashin in the Hall of Fame. The award ceremony will be held May 24 in Zurich.

“It is a great honor for me, and it is very pleasant to be accepted into this hall. To be honest, I didn’t even think about it. It is very pleasant and great that my career was appreciated in the hockey world, ”commented IIHF on Yassin TASS.

46-year-old Alexei Yashin is the 1993 world champion, the 1998 Olympic silver medalist and the 2002 Games bronze medalist in the Russian national team. He played for the NHL clubs Ottawa (1993–2001) and New York Islanders (2001–2007). He graduated from his professional career in 2012 with CSKA.
