The box for the green curry contains, for example, three shallots, a tomato, a pointed pepper, a red chili pepper, a tomato, a carrot, a zucchini, coconut milk, rice and green curry paste. Customers have the choice of adding a chicken breast fillet to the product.
For a lasagna, Aldi provides cloves of garlic, shallots, pointed peppers, a sprig of rosemary, tomatoes, carrots, lasagna sauce and the lasagna pasta plates in the appropriate cookbox. The minced meat is not included.
The background is that Aldi wants to address not only meat eaters, but also vegetarians with the cookbox. Because the box is also easy to store, customers will find it in the fruit and vegetable counter.
Sales start on February 24th in all Aldi Süd branches. If you shop at Aldi Nord, you have to be patient. The cookbox will be available there later.
In addition to the fresh ingredients, the cookbox comes with recipe instructions. If you are unsure, you can also watch the preparation in the video using the QR code. Since Aldi uses the YouTube video platform for this, the cooking films can be easily transferred to smart TVs.
