The court ruled that there was not enough evidence of guilt. Tuesday, November 30, 2021, the judicial tribunal of Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) released the judo coach Alain schmitt of facts of domestic violence. He was tried during an immediate appearance hearing, accused of assaulting his companion, the Olympic champion Margaux Pinot. The facts would have occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday in his apartment in Blanc-Mesnil.
Two versions of the facts
During the hearing, the two versions clashed, according to Franceinfo. Margaux Pinot, the swollen face, reported “ punches “And denounced” a psychological hold ” from the coach. More eight days of ITT have been prescribed.
Alain Schmitt spoke of a fight that looked like a “tornado”. He came to the hearing with bruises on his face. He had been arrested on Sunday night, in a state of intoxication.
Former Blanc-Mesnil coach
Alain Schmitt, bronze medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games, worked as a coach for the club.Sporting star of Blanc-Mesnil. He notably coached Margaux Pinot and Madeleine Malonga, two gold medalists at the Tokyo Olympics with the France team. On social networks, the sports club had supported Margaux Pinot.
In November 2021, Alain Schmitt announced his departure from Blanc-Mesnil and his appointment as assistant coach of the Israeli women’s judo team.
