The singer Lambe Alabakovsky, who at the beginning of July set fire to the front door of the Bulgarian club “Ivan Mihailov” in Bitola, this evening burned demonstratively in the Macedonian capital of Skopje “The agreement with Bulgaria, the Prespa agreement and the French proposal”, announced the MKD.
“If my diagnosis is a pyromaniac, your diagnosis is a traitor. That’s why this piece of paper must burn today,” said the singer in a short word.
Some of the participants in the protest threw eggs, bottles and flowers at the government building and chanted “Resignation” and patriotic songs.

Lambe Alabakovski rose to fame after winning the television competition “Star Search” in 2004. He is very popular in his country, and his songs are among the favorites of Macedonians and occupy top positions in the music charts. There is information that his brother works in the law enforcement agencies of the RSM.
Alabakovsky was released for the burning of the Bulgarian club in Bitola.
The only measure against him now is the confiscation of his passport. The decision is of the Criminal Court at the main court in Bitola.
He was initially remanded in custody for 8 days, which was commuted to house arrest. The reason was that he had dual citizenship – Macedonian and American and could go into hiding.
According to the law in Macedonia, his act is punishable by imprisonment from 6 months to 5 years.
In the early hours of June 4, 2022, Alabakovsky set fire to the doors of the cultural center. According to his lawyer, the name of the club pushed the singer to the act, not his Bulgarian character.
