Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of Al-Ahly Board of Directors, thanked President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, state institutions and their leaders, during his speech at the opening ceremony of Al-Ahly Stadium this evening, which hosts matches of the first football team locally and in Africa in the coming period, and Al-Khatib said: “I thank Mr. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, state institutions and their leaders (army and police) for their great role in the interest of the country, and the hours that we are in today will not forget that our country, Egypt, is going through great challenges, and we must all offer our greetings and appreciation to the state institutions, the army and police, for facing the challenges with wisdom and strength, and I thank the Ministry “Military Production at Al-Ahly Stadium, that large facility, and here we must also remember the late Minister Muhammad Al-Assar, Minister of State for Military Production, may God have mercy on him.”
On the other hand, Al-Ahly Stadium in Al-Salam City witnessed its installation with giant screens, to provide all means of comfort for the fans and attendance during the official matches that the first team of football in the club competes, and the press conference hall was provided with a new screen, and screens were provided outside the perimeter of the stadium.
While Mahmoud Al-Khatib was keen to shake hands with old players, before the launch of the opening activities of Al-Ahly Stadium in Al-Salam City, and the celebration of the new Al-Ahly Stadium will witness a match between the old players, who were present to participate in the event, in addition to the presence of some public figures and executive leaders in the club.
