Al-Marsad Newspaper: A new video documented the moment the fire that broke out in the “Al-Habib” hospital – under construction – in northern Riyadh was extinguished, after the civil defense teams completely extinguished the fire.
The clip showed the presence of civil defense vehicles and an aircraft in the vicinity of the fire, while smoke is still rising from the building after the flames were extinguished.
Two consecutive fires
The hospital was subjected to two consecutive fires within two months in the same facility. After the first fire that occurred in June of this year in the Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group project in Al Sahafa neighborhood in Riyadh, another fire broke out in the building under construction, yesterday, Thursday.
Shortcomings in the authority supervising the building
For his part, the financial analyst Turki Fadaq commented on the recurrence of the fire in the “Al-Habib” hospital in two months, saying that this gives indications of deficiencies in the authority supervising the building, whether the contracting company or the authority responsible for the building.

It is worth noting that Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital has an estimated total area of 353.3 thousand square meters and a cost of 2.8 billion riyals.
The hospital provides health care services with a production capacity of about 500 beds. The project also includes a tower for the group’s headquarters.
And a contract for building the structural structure was awarded to Masah Contracting Company, with a value that exceeded 348 million riyals, and the implementation of the external works interface and electrical and mechanical works at about 518 million riyals.
