Gulf Air rebrands in-flight food service trolleys

Yesterday, Thursday, the Tenders and Auctions Board opened a temporary tender for the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture to plant mangroves in the Kingdom of Bahrain, for which 4 companies competed.

The business includes, but is not limited to, the import of mangrove seeds from neighboring countries of similar species, the supply of low-density black bags, the cultivation of mangroves in various locations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including transportation, irrigation with sea water, protection, support, tying, supply, spreading, mixing of agricultural media, and others. It also includes operating a nursery in Tubli and Ras Hayyan for two years, cleaning, maintaining, monitoring and protecting mangroves in the sea and replacing them with new ones, conducting studies, evaluating and preparing reports for the project during the full contract period.

The Board also opened a tender for the Labor Fund (Tamkeen) to contract with a consulting company for the incubation support program and pre-business acceleration. 7 companies competed for it, two of which were suspended, and the lowest bid was for HP Spring Studios (Bahrain) at about 688.1 thousand dinars, while it amounted to The largest is about 3.2 million dinars.

According to the tender documents, it is in order to contract with a consulting company to provide two separate business incubation programs and to carry out the pre-acceleration process to help Bahraini startups that have the eligibility criteria stipulated in the request for proposals, to track their growth and expand their business, as the project consists of two different programs in cooperation with Well-known business incubators for easy access to mentorship, product development support, and prototyping production facilities.

The council also opened a tender for Gulf Air to update the brand of food service carts on board, to which a single company, Ignite Advertising and Exhibitions, applied for about 90.8 thousand dinars.

According to the tender documents, the purpose is to purchase a new food cart for a two-year contract period.

In total, 9 tenders belonging to 7 government agencies were opened, with a total of 44 bids, while two tenders related to the “Tamkeen” tender were suspended. The total of the lowest bids submitted was about 2.3 million dinars.

The council opened two tenders for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, the first of which is for the design and construction of renovation works in the customer care center in the ministry in the diplomatic area, to which a single company, the United International Company for Decoration, applied for about 322.4 thousand dinars.

The Customer Service Center is located on the ground floor of the Ministry’s main building, which will undergo major renovation and restoration work in its current interior design. The contractor will provide a one-stop solution and service point to serve clients with regard to their housing needs, and this will include the design and construction of the service centre.

The second tender for repair and soil injection works for 4 houses on Road 2661 in Block 1026 in Karzakan, Hamad Town, was contested by two companies, and the lowest bid was about 42.7 thousand dinars, while the largest was about 58.5 thousand dinars, and according to the tender documents, it is for grouting the soil affected by the Cracks and soil strengthening to avoid structural damage to housing units due to subsidence of the soil. And cleaning the area and correcting any damages that occur after the works, as well as repairing any defects or damages that occurred in the unit.

The Council also opened two tenders for the management of central stores in the Electricity and Water Authority, the first of which is to purchase unrestricted insulating oil for the purpose of use by the Electricity Transmission Department, for which 4 companies competed, and the lowest bid was for Central Energy Systems and Operations Company with a value of 82.5 thousand dinars, and the second tender for the supply of electrical circuit breakers for the purpose of use By the Electricity Distribution Department for projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, two companies competed for it, and the lowest bid was for the Gulf Services Company by about 31.4 thousand dinars.

The council also opened a tender for the Ministry of Works to implement the first phase of road development in the village of Jid Hafs, for which 10 companies competed. The proposed development includes the road network in the village of Jidhafs.

The work includes asphalt works, rainwater network, channels, safety and traffic signs and signals for roads and all other works related to road infrastructure according to the specifications approved by the Ministry of Works.

The council also opened a tender for primary health care centers to purchase medical devices to renovate the Sitra health center, for which 13 companies competed.
