Vienna (OTS) – With home and household insurance, comparisons and a regular policy check are worthwhile. Because an AK analysis showed great differences in the premiums and benefits. The AK gives tips.
AK tips for home and household insurance:
+ Obtain offers: The premium and benefit offers are large. Insurance companies also offer various “packages” – from basic to exclusive protection. Get multiple offers.
+ Ask about discounts: Inquire about discounts – in addition to the permanent discount for long-term insurance, there are also discounts for certain professional groups or security measures, such as security doors.
+ Pay annually: Pay your insurance premium annually – it’s cheaper.
+ Sum insured should fit: Choose a suitable sum insured and make sure that you are not over- or under-insured.
+ Check policies: A regular policy check is recommended – have the insured values changed?
+ Report damage immediately: If you have a claim, inform your advisor or the insurance company immediately. If you move out, notify your insurance company immediately before moving.
