airBaltic announces the most popular winter destinations – Tourism – Leisure

Meanwhile, Paris and Berlin are still among the most sought-after destinations all year round.

Martin Gauss, CEO of airBaltic, said it was now possible to travel in Europe again and that more and more passengers were planning their trips up to two months or more ahead.

“By offering safe flights, we hope that the trend of high passenger demand will continue in the coming winter season,” Gauss said.

At the same time, more and more passengers are booking flights to winter ski destinations. Among the most popular ski destinations are Munich, Milan and Geneva.

Currently, airBaltic offers direct flights from Riga to more than 70 destinations.

It has already been reported that the airBaltic Group’s turnover in the first half of this year was 49.963 million euros, which is 41.6% less than in the same period last year, while the group’s losses decreased three times – to 61.515 million euros.

The Latvian state owns 96.14% of the voting rights in airBaltic’s capital, while the financial investor, Danish businessman Lars Tussen, owns Aircraft Leasing 1 – 3.86%.
