The Association of Entities of the Industrial Safety System of Aragon (AESSIA) has just incorporated a new partner: the Official College of Agricultural Engineers of Aragon, Navarra and the Basque Country. “With the integration into AESSIA of the College of Agronomists, we are now thirteen entities that work to promote quality and safety in homes, premises and industries in Aragonese society”, highlighted Luis Angel Carbó, manager of AESSIA.

The agronomists join the associations of industrial engineers of Aragon, the associations of businessmen, installers and maintainers and several Control Bodies of recognized prestige.

The interest of the engineers in belonging to AESSIA “lies in helping to simplify the administrative procedures of work carried out by agricultural engineers, through the use of technological solutions with legal guarantees”, explains the manager of AESSIA.

Industrial safety also in the agri-food sector

Last year, the College of Agricultural Engineers endorsed 548 projects and 346 works management related to the design, construction of livestock farms, irrigation, agri-food industries, agricultural warehouses and other related activities.

“Almost half of those visas affect industrial security. Specifically, 263 actions in Aragon, preferably in the agri-food industry, where agronomists have a wide field of action”, Carbó pointed out.

More than 300 performances

In Aragon, livestock farms continue to be quite important within the activity of agronomic engineering. In 2021 alone, up to 309 actions were approved for both intensive and extensive livestock farming, as well as for different species: poultry, pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, etc.
