There were tense scenes in the morning on the set of “Smile Again” between the journalist Nikos Syrigos and George Kalliakmanis, president of the police officers of N/A Attica, who was invited to the show on the occasion of the murder of the 28-year-old woman at the Agioi Anargyro police station.
The conversation between Nikos Syrigos, journalist of the show, took a tense turn with the dialogue between them unfolding as follows:
-Kalliakmanis: Don’t forget the policemen carried grandparents and dogs to the fires.
-Syrigos: Giorgos, with all due respect, I can hear what you are saying, dear.
-Kalliakmanis: Don’t say it then.
-Syrigos: These are of no importance for the girl’s father, for Eleni Topaloudi’s father, for Caroline’s father. They don’t matter, cry over spilled milk. You will be “suffocated” by the anger of the citizens.
-Kalliakmanis: Listen to me very carefully because you refer to the plural. I don’t allow you because I did my job in the best way for 30 years in EL.AS. You will not refer to me.
-Syrigos: The children are not turning back now.
-Kalliakmanis: Do you want me to tell you that you are playing tricks on a girl’s grave? Do you want to know how? Does this cover you?
-Syrigos: If you take it as a personal attack, that’s your business.
-Kalliakmanis: I have picked up citizens and taken them home with my car.
-Syrigos: We will all be suffocated by social rage. The pain of mother and father.
-Kalliakmanis: These policemen are from society.

-Kalliakmanis: It’s personal sir because I have 2 girls.
-Syrigos: I also have two girls.

-Kalliakmanis: I support all my colleagues who have given their blood.
“Did you bring me here to tell me to be ashamed of myself? Shame on those you vote for,” said Giorgos Kalliakmanis as he left
Kalliakmanis: “Some people use patrol cars to take them to supermarkets”
Afterwards, Giorgos Kalliakmanis wanted to speak by phone on the show where he said:
“I said to appear on your show because Sunday’s father asked me to. I apologized to him for all those who are at fault. I don’t know if anyone else has apologized to him.”
He added: “But I have to protect not only myself, but also the policemen who have shed their blood in the line of duty ».
“Let’s see who else is to blame. Who left the department unmanned?’ Mr. Kalliakmanis commented on the purpose of being a police officer “just because he has issues with justice, you put him in another position, not in a position of responsibility”. At the same time, he clarified that there is an obligation for the police to transport citizens with a patrol car.
For his part, Nikos Syrigos, addressing Giorgos Kalliakmanis, explained that what was communicated between them was not on a personal level.
“The patrol cars are used for other jobs with orders from above. Let some people go to the supermarkets,” said the president of the N/A Attica police officers in a suggestive tone.
