In Eindhoven, the police were warned around 3.15 a.m. that it was restless on the street near a café in the entertainment center. Two officers saw that a young man repeatedly sought confrontation with other walkers.
When they wanted to talk to the man, an unknown woman obstructed their way, including pushing the officers. When one of the police officers pushed the woman away, the situation escalated, according to the police, and the man started slapping one of the officers with his fist.
The man was eventually arrested under much resistance. He is still in prison and will be interrogated on Sunday. The officers report abuse to him. One of them probably has a bruised elbow, the other has severe jaw pain, according to the police.
In Vlissingen, special investigating officers asked for emergency assistance from the police around 12.20 pm because of an aggressive man on Willem Ruysstraat. Cops tried to calm the man down. However, the suspect hit an officer. On his subsequent arrest, the man resisted so much that the officers decided to use pepper spray. Because the suspect raged so violently, a bystander came to the rescue. The man was taken to a hospital for medical care. He was arrested for assaulting an agent, but is still in hospital.
