According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Rabiah said, in a speech today, Sunday, about the second wave of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19), that the past period has witnessed an increase in the number of confirmed cases of the virus in the Kingdom, warning that if confirmed cases continue to rise With infection, this will force to impose more severe measures to preserve the health of community members.
The Saudi Minister of Health indicated that the most important reasons for this rise are gatherings of all kinds and lax in implementing preventive measures, stressing that “this is a dangerous matter, and we do not want outbreaks to happen again.”
Al-Rabiah called on everyone to preserve the gains made in addressing the Corona pandemic, stressing that “this would not have been achieved except by the grace of God and then by their commitment, continuous support and generous exertion of the wise leadership that made the citizen’s health and safety first and foremost.”
He said in a speech: “You notice that many countries in the world are experiencing the second wave of the pandemic, and more than the first, and we are not immune from that, so we must deal with this virus with all seriousness and not tolerate taking all precautions that ensure – God willing – Confront him and confront him. “
He added: “Unfortunately, during the past days, we have observed a noticeable increase and a continuous rise in the numbers of HIV infection, and among the most important reasons for this rise are gatherings of all kinds and laxity in applying preventive measures, and this is a dangerous matter, and we do not want outbreaks to occur again, God forbid. He continued, saying: “We in the Kingdom are not far from what is happening in other countries, and God forbid, it may happen to us like what happened in many countries, from an outbreak of the virus, a collapse of the health system and a lack of health service.”
The Saudi Minister of Health urged everyone to ensure the importance of adhering to health precautions, especially wearing a muzzle, social distancing, hand hygiene and not shaking hands, all of which contribute greatly to preventing the Corona virus and limiting its spread to maintain the health and safety of all members of society.
