Oli P. (41) and his wife Pauline (33) have been a couple for twelve years; six years ago they made a covenant for life. On the show “Schlagerlovestory.2020” by Florian Silbereisen last Saturday the two wanted to present a duet together for the first time. However, this did not happen. The reason: Pauline is seriously ill and was too weak to stand on stage with her husband.

“Fortunately, Pauline is feeling a little better now. Unfortunately, she is not yet fit enough for a big show appearance,” explained moderator Silver iron the TV viewers on the ARD program. “That’s why Oli sings the song that connects them so much for his Pauline and for all couples who are going through a difficult time.”

Oli P., whose real name is Oliver Petszokat, then visibly moved to sing “Little Torch Burn”, while pictures of his wife were shown on a screen in the background.

OP was inevitable

In conversation with “bild.de” After the show, the former GZSZ actor did not want to reveal what illness Pauline is suffering from. He only revealed that the 33-year-old has been fighting with her for ten years and that her condition has recently worsened. “We knew that we could not get past surgery at some point,” he said Petszokat. In March it was “so far” that he himself spent two weeks in the Cologne hospital.

At the time, the singer posted a photo on Instagram, where he kissed Pauline on the cheek in the hospital. “Most importantly now … even in difficult times: take care of each other”, was to be read next to the picture. Pauline is “slowly getting better”, her hospital stay “of course has nothing to do with Corona,” wrote Petszokat.

Oli P .: Pauline “on the mend”

According to Oli P., it takes a year for him and his wife to be certain that the operation was successful. “Until then, we don’t want to take that out,” he said. However, Pauline “survived the operation” well and was “on the mend”. Sometimes she could participate in everyday life for a few hours and sometimes she was too weak, the 41-year-old continued.
