Aldi is currently selling iPhones starting at 160 euros: is the deal worthwhile for the Apple mobile phones?

The Aldi Talk online shop has added several iPhones to its range: In addition to the iPhone 7, which has been available for some time, customers can now also order the iPhone 6, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models at very affordable prices. The iPhones on offer are no longer really up to date (years of publication: 2014 to 2016), but the prices are still around 160 to 350 euros and are extremely cheap compared to other providers.-

However, there is a reason for this: The Apple smartphones on offer are not new, but “completely overhauled”. This means that the devices have already been used by first-time buyers, but then returned within the cancellation or guarantee period. As Aldi writes in the device descriptions of the iPhones, the smartphones are completely disassembled before resale. Each component is checked for functionality, defective parts are replaced and the iPhone is then reassembled. In addition, the cell phones are completely cleaned, disinfected and arrive at the customer in a secure box.

Aldi guarantees that the iPhones show no discolouration, liquid damage or gaps. However, scratches of up to 0.5 mm are possible. All devices are delivered with a guarantee of 24 months.
