1- Good nutrition

Cancer survivors must follow a set of nutritional guidelines to prevent cancer recurrence, the most prominent of which are:

– Eat green, red and orange vegetables daily.

– Including legumes, such as beans and peas, in the daily diet.

– Pay attention to eating fresh fruits.

– Reduce or avoid red meat.

– Completely avoid processed meat.

– Avoid sugary drinks completely.

– Stop drinking alcoholic beverages.

– Eat foods made from whole grains, such as brown rice and local bread.

2- Take nutritional supplements under the supervision of a doctor

Some research has revealed that taking nutritional supplements that are high in vitamins and minerals, exceeding the recommended daily dose, may have harmful effects on cancer survivors.

Therefore, it is necessary to consult a doctor to determine whether you need to take nutritional supplements or not, by conducting blood tests to check the levels of minerals and vitamins in the body.

3- Doing sports

Some studies have shown that exercise does not contribute to preventing cancer recurrence, but it helps survivors regain their physical and psychological health.

Therefore, it is necessary to limit sitting and lying down for a long time, and try to exercise for 150 to 300 minutes per week for moderate-intensity exercises or 75 to 150 minutes for high-intensity exercises.

Consider including strength exercises at least two days a week.
