After going to the moon, China has the ambition to explore the sun

Jakarta

China plans to conduct exploration of the Sun and hopes to send a research team to the edge of the Solar System. This ambitious plan was conveyed by the chief designer Exploration of the moonWu Weiren, in an interview talking about China’s future plans for space exploration.

Wu said planetary exploration projects are now focused on Mars. In this exploration, China intends to collect soil samples from the Red Planet and return in the next 10 to 15 years.

Wu also noted that China is still planning to carry out interplanetary exploration of Jupiter and Uranus. In addition, the country of Bamboo Curtain will develop a heavy lift launch vehicle with liftoff thrust of approximately 4,000 tons to be able to send astronauts to the Moon and Mars.

“We are currently making preparations for a planetary defense capability and preparing to carry out a planetary defense mission with a master plan for detection, early warning, disposal and rescue efforts,” Wu said, quoted from Xinhua.

“The goal is to change the orbit of a small celestial body that could pose a threat to Earth by launching an impactor. China plans to conduct asteroid sampling in the next 10 to 15 years,” he continued.

So far, China has prepared the fourth phase of its lunar exploration program, including the Chang’e-6, Chang’e-7 and Chang’e-8 missions. Chang’e-6 is expected to collect samples from the opposite side moon and bring it back to Earth. If successful, it will be the first time humanity has completed the mission.

The Chang’e-6 mission is expected to launch around 2025 at Wenchang in southern China’s Hainan province. After the samples were brought back to Earth, systematic and long-term laboratory studies were immediately carried out.

“Chang’e-5 brought 1,731 grams of lunar soil from the near side of the moon by the end of 2020, and we hope Chang’e-6 brings more samples from the far side of the moon, with a target of 2,000 grams.” Wu said.

Chang’e-7 is expected to land on the south pole of the Moon and its main mission will be to search for water in deep caverns. Chang’e-8 will be launched around 2028 and will form the basis of a scientific research station on the lunar south pole with Chang’e-7, complete with lunar orbiter, lander, rover, flying vehicle and many other scientific instruments.

The China National Aerospace Administration (CNSA) has released plans to promote a new global partnership for space exploration and innovation, two China declares its willingness to collaborate with space agencies and international organizations from all over the world, adhering to the principles of transparency and openness.
