After Aly Ngouille Ndiaye: The Governor of Dakar closes public places for 3 months

The Governor of the Dakar region, Al Hassan Sall followed in the footsteps of Minister Aly Ngouille Ndiaye in the application of new measures to fight against Covid-19. He issued a decree to this effect. From now on, bars, nightclubs and other performance venues will be closed for a period of three months.

The collaboration of Dakar residents requested

The Chief Executive of the Dakar region also calls on Dakar residents to work together for strict compliance with the measures taken by the government. Yesterday Friday, at a press conference, the Minister of the Interior, Aly Ngouille Ndiaye, announced the new measures taken in the context of the fight against covid-19.

The new measures

These new measures are, among others, the ban on gatherings at beaches, sports grounds, public spaces and performance halls, the wearing of compulsory masks in covered public places, transport and markets, ‘ban on gatherings in family ceremonies (baptisms, weddings, deaths, etc.) on public roads. Body lifting, seen as times of disease spread, are also banned. These new restrictions aim to curb the spread of Covid-19.
