All Elite Wrestling Dynamite #86
Ort: Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, USA
First broadcast: May 28, 2021

Pre-Show:

It’s Friday Night, and you know what that means!

1. Match
Singles Match
Darby Allin (w / Sting) wins against Cezar Bononi (w / The Wingmen) via Pin after the Coffin Drop.
Match time: 04:22

After the match, Allin tells Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky to come out because he doesn’t feel like waiting to be attacked from behind. The two finally come, but don’t want a confrontation today, because they want to win on the big stage on Sunday when they end the career of one legend and start the career of two new legends. The wingmen attack Sting and Allin from behind, and Page and Sky finally join them. They want to knock out their opponents from Sunday with chairs, but the Dark Order is added and makes the safe! Allin and Sting thank every single member with a fist bump.

The match card for the rest of the evening will be discussed.

Paul Wight goes to the ring, he is the host of the weigh-in between Anthony Ogogo and Cody Rhodes. An American and a British flag hang in the background. Wight says he is in a great mood. Nevertheless, he will make sure that this becomes a serious segment and presents us with Ogogo, “The Factory” in tow. QT Marshall has a microphone in hand and says a few words. But Wight quickly interrupts and says no one would pay any money to hear Marshall. He tells Ogogo to come into the ring before asking “The American Dream” Cody Rhodes to come to the ring. He also has people from the “Nightmare Factory” and some members of his family with him. The American flag is waved. The ring fills up and Wight tries to keep the situation under control. Cody Rhodes steps on the scales, before he strips down to his underpants. The scales are unfortunately not digital, but after a while they show 218 lbs (just under 99 kg). Ogogo also undresses under “USA” shouts, he wears underpants with the flag of the United Kingdom. He weighs 219 lbs (a good 99 kg). Marshall celebrates this as a big victory, because half a kilogram (about) will make all the difference on Sunday. He asks the audience to cheer on Ogogo, who of course only gets boos. Cody, on the other hand, lets the audience celebrate, which annoys Marshall. The factory leaves the ring while Cody thanks the audience and ends the segment.

A video of the Stadium Stampede match and the feud between The Pinnacle and the Inner Circle will be played.

Backstage we see Christian Cage fighting with Powerhouse Hobbs. Cage can ultimately prevail with the help of objects standing around before both can be separated from officials.

2. Match
Singles Match
“Hangman” Adam Page wins against “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela (w / Sonny Kiss) via pin after the Buckshot Lariat.
Match time: 09:49
– Taz commented on the match with the three other commentators in order to scout for Sunday according to his own statement.

Taz has grabbed a microphone and wants to introduce him to a friend: “The Machine” Brian Cage wants to say hello. Ricky Starks and Hook join in too, but Page says he expected it. He asks Cage if he seriously needs these guys to beat up Cage, but maybe he doesn’t have the balls. He tells Cage to leave the ass holes at home on Sunday. He feels offended in his honor and says that Page will get him in 1 vs. 1, because nobody beats Cage. Especially not an Adam Page.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston bury the Young Bucks shoes that they stole from them last week. Unfortunately, the screen then goes black before Dynamite has obviously gone on a commercial break. After the advertisement, the segment starts again. Moxley states that he and Kingston wouldn’t even be a real team, at least from the perspective of the “best tag team in the world.” But he entrusts his life to Kingston, and on Sunday they go to war. Because Moxley needs the title. Though the Bucks are a well-oiled machine, the titles are two T-bone steaks, and he and Kingston are two hungry pit bulls. Kingston reassures him and says that the Bucks will give up because they have long since given up and abandoned the people (viewers and fellow wrestlers). Maybe they would let AEW down after a defeat. Kingston is already hoping to become an EVP of All Elite Wrestling himself and asks Moxley for his opinion. But he doesn’t want such a position, he just wants to become champion.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and announces Orange Cassidy to us, but PAC comes out. He laughingly apologizes that the crowd’s favorite didn’t come out before he turns to Omega. He describes his title reign as poor. He tells Kenny Omega to come out. Don Callis appears on the screen and says they don’t want to be around the sociopath until Sunday. At that moment, Omega tries to attack PAC from behind, but the latter has expected it and can intercept him. The Good Brothers join in, but Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix make the safe. Omega and PAC stay in the ring, Omega wants to show the One-Winged Angel, the music of Orange Cassidy can be heard. He walks provocatively slowly to the ring and has an envelope with him that says “For Know Kenny ”. Omega opens the envelope and inside is the shredded contract that Omega and Callis gave him last week. Omega looks up puzzled and catches the orange punch. Cassidy wants to reach for the title, but this prevents PAC, who attacks Cassidy but also has to take the orange punch. Cassidy holds up the AEW World title (as high as an Orange Cassidy can) before the segment ends.

Jade Cargill is to be interviewed, but there is another interruption. This time through Matt Hardy, who announces that he wants to win the Casino Battle Royal first before he wants to win Cargill for his stable. Mark Sterling arrives and says that Cargill has chosen him as manager. And compared to Matt, Sterling only makes money when Cargill wins. He gives Hardy his business card, which he throws away indignantly before shouting angrily that Cargill should be happy with her decision.

3. Match
Singles Match
Jade Cargill (w / Mark Sterling) wins against KiLynn King via pin after the Jaded.
Match time: 05:43

Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Lance Archer talk about Miro. With all due respect, Archer doesn’t want to go up against Dante Martin, so he hopes the Bulgarian will win the match because he has made him angry. Therefore, he wants to take the title from Miro on Sunday.

4. Match
TNT Championship
Singles Match
“The Best Man” Miro wins against Dante Martin via submission in game over.
Match time: 03:07

Roberts and Archer come out. Roberts promises Miro that Archer is ready. On Sunday, Miro’s fairy tale was over. Miro provokes Archer a little, he doesn’t need a second request to get into the ring and can throw Miro out of the same. Referees settle the situation while Roberts laughs.

Tony Schiavone asks Hikaru Shida into the ring. There the champion is to be honored, she will receive a new title belt, which will be put on by Schiavone. The commentator has some problems putting his belt on, so a referee helps him. Shida is happy to finally celebrate the receipt of a title with the fans and share the moment with them. She is interrupted by Dr. Britt Baker, DMD This claims to come in peace and congratulates Shida. She was the champion in the most difficult time in the history of pro wrestling, nobody could take that away from her. But on Sunday she, Britt Baker, will be the face of a new era, the DMD Shida era does not appear confused for long and presents herself and her title to the audience again.

TNT is probably in a picture-in-picture advertisement, because Sammy Guevara is standing in front of the camera with his signs and is hyping the Stadium Stampede match on Sunday again.

5. Match
Tag Team Match
“All Ego” Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky win against The Dark Order (Evil Uno & Stu Grayson) via pin from Page to Uno after the Ego’s Edge.
Match time: 08:44

Ethan Page promises that today’s result will be the same as on Sunday. Sting’s music plays and Allin comes out with seven people in Sting masks. While Allin takes care of Page, Sky can fend off the first four “Stings”, but the fifth turns out to be the real one. The heels then flee.

The match card of the “Double or Nothing” PPV is checked.

Eric Bischoff comes out, he’s the host who is supposed to guide us through the Inner Circle’s greatest moments. He gets great reactions from the audience. He also welcomes the group directly, with goose bumps at the entrance music. Jericho also directly confirms how great it is to have fans around you. He thanks Bischoff for everything he has done for him in the course of his career. We come straight to the (but quite short) video package that was put together for the Inner Circle. Inner Circle chants echo through Daily’s Place. Santana says the Inner Circle, stronger today than ever before, shouldered AEW and carried it through the pandemic. And if this should be her last dance, then the timing would be perfect to say goodbye in front of so many fans and with all his brothers in the ring. Ortiz and Hager agree. The latter adds that the hard times, the defeats, would have made them tough men. Those would be the important times. Guevara wants to give everything to ensure that the group survives Sunday, but if not, he would like to thank everyone else in the ring. Jericho now has a say and continues the Inner Circle. On Sunday they will go to war. Should they lose, they will go under with flags waving. He says that he loves his colleagues, a group hug follows. Finally, the ultimate finger, until MJF appears on the screen and says that he is touched. All the love and devotion, he’s so excited. Wardlow too, by the way. We see Dean Malenko, one of Jericho’s closest friends, tied to one of the field goal posts. The Inner Circle wants to run to the field, but is intercepted by the Pinnacle and taken apart. Santana and Ortiz are transported through tables by FTR, the rest of the Inner Circle is also on the floor. “When you’re in The Pinnacle, you are ALWAYS. ON. TOP.”
