As a result of the incident, one of Inspector General Ferdy’s subordinates died in a pathetic condition.
A member of the National Police Propam, Brigadier Josua, was shot dead by Barada E. The incident took place at the official house of the Head of the Propam Police Division, Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, South Jakarta, Friday (8/7/2022) at 17.00 WIB.
Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) urges National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to form a joint fact-finding team over the death of Police Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat at the house of a police official.
“This is to reveal whether the death of the victim shooting related to the threat of danger or other motives,” said the Chairperson IPW Sugeng Teguh Santoso in his statement, Monday (11/7/2022).
IPW, said Sugeng, asked the highest leadership of the National Police to first deactivate Inspector General Ferdy Sambo from his position as Head of the Propam Division.
“The reason is that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo is a key witness in the incident that killed Mr aideits. This is to obtain clarity on the motives of the perpetrators of killing fellow members of the Police,” he said.
The second reason, said Sugeng, is that Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat’s status is not yet clear whether the victim or the party causing the danger must be shot.
“The third reason is that the locus delicti allegedly occurred at the house of the Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo. Therefore, in order to avoid distortion of the investigation, it must be carried out by a Fact Finding Team formed on the orders of the National Police Chief, not by Propam,” he explained.
