Recent rumors have brought to light a rumored tension between superstars Adele and Rebel Wilson. In a revelation from Wilson’s upcoming memoir, “Rebel Rising”, it is claimed that Adele harbored animosity towards Wilson, with the book attributing it to Adele’s dislike of being compared to Wilson due to their physical similarities in the past.

Rivalry Born Out of Misinterpretation

In “Rebel Rising”, Wilson, 44, reveals that her labeling in the book of certain actresses as “plus-size” likely contributed to an alleged strain in her relationship with Adele. Wilson writes, “Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say. This is why, I think, Adele hates me,” as reported by InTouch Weekly.

The memoir contains excerpts that claim Adele distanced herself whenever Wilson would approach, supposedly out of fear that being associated with Wilson would lead to a comparative labeling. Wilson deduced, “There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another…I am assuming, because to be fair I’ve never asked her.”

Please Don’t Compare Me

Addressing Adele’s alleged dislike of being compared to her “Pitch Perfect” character “Fat Amy,” Wilson speculates, “As if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than thirty seconds. That she didn’t like being compared to ‘Fat Amy'”.

Weight Loss Journeys

Notably, both Adele and Rebel Wilson have gone through remarkable weight loss transformations in recent years. Adele publicly shared her achievement of shedding 100 pounds in two years, while Wilson experienced her own significant weight loss of over 80 pounds, according to her book.

Book’s Controversial Chapter

Alongside the revelations concerning Adele, Wilson’s memoir has generated significant buzz online, particularly for the dedication of a full chapter to actor Sacha Baron Cohen. In the chapter, Wilson dubs Cohen a “massive a-hole” and shares her alleged encounter with pressure to film a nude scene.

Denial and Response

While Wilson’s claims have attracted attention, representatives for Adele and Cohen have declined to comment on the matter. Cohen’s camp has strongly denied any unethical behavior or pressure on Wilson during the production of “The Brothers Grimsby.”
