The tracks are said to have been hit by either a scooter or a motorcycle on the west side of Manhattan near Lincoln center on Friday night. The 65-year-old was about to cross the street Amsterdam Avenue on his way to the Julliard school when the accident occurred, Williams writes in an e-mail to the news agency.
