In the film, she portrayed the wife of Depardieu’s character.
In the 1980s, Debever was considered one of the most promising young actresses in the French film industry, but soon after gaining popularity, she disappeared from the screens.
In 2019, the actress shared a real message on her Facebook profile, accusing Gerard Depardieu of sexual violence and rape. He allegedly harassed and grabbed her on the set.
Depardieu strongly denied all the allegations.
Emanuela Debever passed away on December 7.
Actor Gerard Depardieu has been accused of sexual assault, all of which he denies. In April this year, French investigative website Mediapart published a report accusing him of harassing 13 more women between 2004 and 2022.
