Actress Ashika Asokan bravely shares her casting couch experience in Tamil industry

Actress Ashika Asokan opens up about her casting couch experience. Ashika shared her experience when she went to act in a Tamil film after the film ‘Missing Girl’. Ashika was mistakenly approached by a person posing as the casting coordinator. He promised to buy a car worth 25 lakh rupees if he closes his eyes for two hours. The actress also revealed that when she said she was not interested, he grabbed her hand and tried to hurt her. Ashika was speaking during the promotion of the movie ‘Missing Girl’.

Ashika’s words:

A Tamil movie came. I went into acting. The person who called me for it wasn’t even a casting coordinator. Nobody knows him even in the industry. But he says that he was the one who brought Samantha and Nayanthara to the movie. But he sends messages to all the girls who are active on social media. Actress Priya Anand has even shown her audition video saying that she is the one who brought her to the film. So he did a lot of manipulations to convince us. He gave us the picture that many important artistes in the industry are under him. No matter how educated we all are, we will believe him even for a second.

One day a big Tamil director called me on the phone and gave it to me. That’s what made me believe. He says that I have a meeting with Lokesh Kanakaraj. With that I got a hope that my dream is going to come true. So the shooting of the movie started.

The shoot was in Pollachi. The shooting was for 15 days. He also came. At one or two o’clock in the night, he would come to the door and knock. It was terribly irritating. Mentally hard too. While I was sitting in the caravan for the shoot, he came and said, “If Ashika closes her eyes for a couple of hours, I will buy a car for 25 lakhs within a month.”

It’s not like you shouldn’t know to come down right then and there. But he felt pity for what. Cinema is a passion, a desire, not a fulfillment. There are a lot of people who respect the movie, and few who have no shame would behave like this. I was even told about an actress who recently released a film. Sometimes he will say the same thing about me to someone else tomorrow. In the end, I had to cry and say that this is my dream, not a dream come true. Please don’t tell me this too.

Then he said, “What is this? After some time, it goes underground.” Is this a moral? What a dirty mind he must have. With this the emotional torturing started. After all that, the first schedule was completed. I had already spoken to his associate director about it. They started protecting me. I will avoid any situation where I am alone. Then he comes at the end of the second schedule. He was seen at the hotel at night.

He asked to speak. I said I don’t want to talk. I am sitting in a hotel on the day of packing. Suddenly he came into the room and grabbed my hand. I then released all the emotional frustration I had up to that point. beat him The associate directors also came running. They also beat him and he ran away. And I have never seen him in my life. He was scared. But he is still working on this. Ashika Ashoka said.
