This summer, the highly regarded and recognized actor Dainis Grūbe has decided to leave his current job at the Daile Theater.
Grūbe, 37, calls this decision very difficult and difficult, but he is glad that he made it. The decision was made by the time of the pandemic, when the actor tried himself in another sphere of activity and realized that new responsibilities are very important to him. To combine this work with the work of an actor is like sitting on two benches. Grūbe does not reveal what his new field of activity is.
“I thought for a long time what to do, which work to prefer, I weighed all the pros and cons. And no matter how much I didn’t like the theater, I made the choice to leave. I changed my life by 180 degrees,” the actor reveals to Kas Jauns magazine. who is now enjoying a free weekend in life, which was not possible in the acting profession.
Grūbe adds that he is the director of Daile Theater Juris Žagars tried to dissuade him from leaving, but at the same time showed understanding – because Žagars himself is also in business. “He understands me, he absolutely understands me. I think that the Daile Theater will not be hurt by my departure. At the moment, the theater has the strongest troupe in Latvia,” says Grūbe. Asked whether to leave the acting profession altogether, he explains that no, but is currently giving up new roles and devoting time to his business.
“Delfi” already announced this week that the actress has also left the staff of her own free will. Alise Danovska. Her departure is not directly related to new professional challenges, but to the scandal: “What’s New” reports that the actress came to the rehearsals with fake documents, that she allegedly took the Covid-19 test. The actress herself neither confirmed nor denied this information to the portal “Delfi”.
