Action weeks against conspiracy ideologies and extremism

The Intercommunal Prevention Network Radicalization Würzburg offers information and workshops on all aspects of conspiracy ideologies as part of the campaign weeks. According to the city press release, these action weeks focus on the new content-related tasks and problems in the area of ​​radicalization prevention, the difficult organizational conditions in the context of the corona pandemic, as well as the central desire for exchange and networking among network partners.

The event starts with a keynote speech by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation in online format. In the following weeks there will be various workshops as face-to-face events on several days. These examine the connection between conspiracy ideologies and forms of discrimination, extremism and anti-Semitism. The action weeks are concluded with an online plenary session, in which the most important findings of the action weeks from the respective workshops are compiled.

Participation is free, but the number of participants in the face-to-face workshops is limited to 25.

The kick-off event will take place on Wednesday, October 7th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Workshop 1: Conspiracy Myths in Youth Cultures, Friday, October 9th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Workshop 2: Conspiracy ideologies in Islamism, Thursday, October 15, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Workshop 3: Anti-Semitism and Corona Protests, Friday, October 16, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Workshop 4: Conspiracy ideologies in the context of the New Right and right-wing terrorist attacks, Thursday, October 22, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Workshop 5: Dealing with conspiracy narratives in everyday educational life, Monday, October 26th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All workshops take place in the Himmelspforten monastery.

The final online plenary session is on Friday, October 30th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
