Residential communal or construction waste illegally dumped on roadsides, forest edges, abandoned areas, and outlying properties is a serious problem, as it has a harmful effect on our environment and wildlife. In order to prevent and eradicate illegal waste dumping and to arrest the violators, the employees of the Ercsi Police Department organized an action on February 21, 2024.
The work of the police was also assisted by representatives of the local hunting association and the municipality. The participants in the campaign jointly inspected the settlement and the outskirts of the city, during which they also inspected several trucks and other vehicle assemblies transporting cargo. Due to the detected irregularities, various sanctions were applied by our colleagues, who also participated in extinguishing the waste fire, thus preventing the fire from spreading.
Similar inspections can be expected in our county in the future as well.
