In protest against the ban on demonstrations against the corona policy, the court in Rotterdam was covered with bananas on Sunday afternoon. The action group Virus Madness makes the statement “banana republic”.

The crooked, yellow fruits are taped to the entrance door of the building, among other things. According to Willem Engel of the action group, it is intended that bananas will be confirmed at every court in the Netherlands.
Virus Madness did not feel taken seriously during various lawsuits, Engel explains on Radio Rijnmond. The action group is opposed to the government’s corona policy. According to Engel, this is not fair and not transparent. “We are for truth and freedom.”
Malieveld
In several cities, including Rotterdam, demonstrations of Virus Madness have been banned in recent days. Last weekend, the protest at the Malieveld in The Hague got out of hand.
Despite the ban on demonstration, protesters also went to the Malieveld this Sunday. Several people have been arrested, reports Omroep West. Acting Mayor Remkes van Den Haag has issued an emergency order. On the Malieveld, the police are calling for anyone who does not comply with the emergency order to be handcuffed.
