Action of 2 men in style tuyul caused a stir in Solok, West Sumatra, and went viral. Both of them were almost naked carrying out the theft of the mosque infaq box. ‘Tuyul‘ Solok is now shaken.
In a viral video seen Monday (6/9/2021), two men wearing only underwear and plastic head coverings enter the mosque area. They wear masks. Next, the 2 ‘tuyul’ approached the infaq box and lifted it up.
The Wali Nagari Batang Barus, Syamsul Azwar, said the incident allegedly occurred on Sunday (5/9) in the morning. CCTV footage showing the time at 01.04 WIB. The incident is said to have occurred at the Ikhlas Ar-Rahman Mosque, located in Jorong Kayu Aro, Nagari Batang Barus, Gunung Talang District, Solok Regency. The mosque is right in front of the Solok Regent’s Office.
“That’s right. It happened in Ar-Rahman. They took the contents of the mosque donation box,” said Syamsul Azwar when asked for confirmation.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Solok Arosuka Police, Iptu Rifki Yudha Ersanda, said that no official report had been received regarding the theft case. However, his party had already visited the location and looked at the surveillance cameras.
“So the infaq box after being brought was burglarized. The contents were drained. The amount is unknown, because the mosque has not counted it either,” said Rifki.
