According to the photos, Prymula was in the restaurant despite the regulations. Admits resignation – ČT24 – Czech Television

Prymula was photographed when visiting a Prague restaurant late Wednesday evening, when the establishment was to be closed according to the regulations. The photos also show the chairman of the ANO parliamentary club, Jaroslav Faltýnek. Minister Prymula told Respekt that he has no problem resigning if the public wishes. The mistake is that he didn’t have a veil when he got in the car. He said that he did not go to the restaurant for meals, but for urgent action, and that he thought he had not done so much.

“If the public wishes, I will resign,” the minister said. He also said that he did not know where the meeting was to take place and apologized for it. According to him, he went to the address to which he was invited. He spoke with Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) about the matter on Friday morning and will discuss it with him again. “I am ready to bear the consequences,” the minister added.

According to Hamáček, it is contempt for thousands of front-line people who work to fight the pandemic and save lives. “The rules apply without pardon to everyone. Minister Prymula and Mr. Jaroslav Faltýnek must explain what they were looking for in the middle of a state of emergency in a restaurant that is to be closed. Moreover, ignoring the wearing of a veil is an absolute mockery of the citizens of our republic, it is clearly an inexcusable failure. It is impossible for the government and the government coalition to be represented by people who do not respect government regulations, “said Hamáček.

According to Hamáček, Prymula lost all credibility as the main face of the fight against the pandemic. “As complicated as it is, as he is the undisputed expert and main author of the anti-crime strategy, he cannot, in my opinion, continue as Minister of Health,” he said. The Minister of Culture Lubomír Zaorálek (ČSSD) also called for the resignation of Prymul.
