Driver ignores right of way and dies in accident

Haren (dpa / lni) – A 55-year-old driver died in a serious accident in Haren in Emsland. When crossing a street, the woman obviously overlooked the car of a 79-year-old, a police spokesman said on Saturday. There was a collision. The woman who caused the accident died and the 79-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The fire brigade and rescue service were on duty, and an ambulance came by helicopter. An emergency chaplain was also on duty. The road was closed for the accident investigation.
